Accommodation at the Vilamendhoo Island Resort

Vilamendhoo has are two types of accommodation available; Standard Rooms and Superior Rooms.

Standard Rooms at the Vilamendhoo Island Resort
These semi-detached rooms are situated in the centre of the island and have a garden view. The have a neatly tiled sun terrace at the front with two chairs and a table, where you can sit and relax. Entering the room you will find a double bed (or twin beds), with cool cotton sheets, bedside cabinets, a dressing table with large mirror, and plenty of wardrobe space. The floor is tiled and the room is painted in bright white. The bathroom is enclosed and spacious, with all the amenities you require.

Superior Rooms at the Vilamendhoo Island Resort
The Superior Rooms are beach facing, and they are either semi-detached or detached bungalows. There is a tiled sun terrace with two chairs and a table, which leads into the spacious bedroom. The room is nicely furnished and there is plenty of storage space, you will feel at home straight away. The bathroom is partly open-air and very spacious, and it also has its own mini private garden. The shower area is a good size and there is plenty of room for your bathroom supplies.

Dining at the Vilamendhoo Island Resort

You will love the cuisine at Vilamendhoo, and there is so much to choose from. The main restaurant is situated near the jetty on the south side of the island, and here they serve extensive buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will be spoilt for choice, with so many hot and cold dishes to choose from, there are curry dishes, beef, chicken and fish dishes, plenty of fresh salad and garnishes, and mountains of fresh fruit and deserts!

You can also arrange a romantic candlelit dinner for two on the beach, with the stars gazing down on you, and the sound of the gentle waves lapping the shore.

There are two bars on Vilamendhoo, the main bar is situated next to the restaurant, and you will find swift service here. The Sunset Bar is aptly named as this is where you can watch the sunset and indulge in your favourite cocktails. This bar has a lovely laidback atmosphere and they have deckchairs on the beach, and they also serve snacks here too.

Facilities at the Vilamendhoo Island Resort

Vilamendhoo has excellent water activities to keep you occupied, from windsurfing, canoeing to water skiing. Most evenings have some form of entertainment such as traditional Maldivian music, disco, crab racing, and they also have the occasional live band.

There are daily excursions such as island hopping, night fishing, visiting a desert island, snorkelling safari, etc. Or you can simply charter a Dhoni and cruise through the azure water of the Indian Ocean, and let the wind guide you through the calm and serenity of the deep blue waters.

If you are feeling energetic there is a gym, table tennis, darts, volleyball, tennis and badminton.
