Jacuzzi Beach Villas in the Veligandu Island resort
The spacious Jacuzzi Beach Villas have amazing views of the clear peaceful turquoise lagoon, and the horizon beyond. There is a semi-circular sundeck, at the front of the villa, which is built over the shallow lagoon. These sundecks are furnished with very comfortable sun loungers, and provide you with total privacy as no one can overlook you. You can also step from the sundeck into the clear blue waters of the lagoon. Inside the villa is furnished with comfortable rattan chairs and a coffee table. There is a double bed and a third spare single bed. There is plenty of storage space including a wardrobe, a writing desk, and a dressing table with a mirror. There is a well-stocked mini bar, along with tea and coffee making facilities for added convenience. The fully fitted bathroom is partly open air in true Maldivian tradition, with bathtub, shower, WC and washbasin. They also feature an outdoor Jacuzzi for two.

Situated at the northern point of the island, the exclusive Water Villas are secluded from the rest of the island and only accessible by a long wooden jetty. These individual villas are as beautiful inside as they are from the outside. When you step inside the villa you will enter a gorgeous living area that is furnished with a closet, a chest of drawers, and there is a small safe too. The bedroom is lavishly furnished with a very comfortable queen sized bed, bedside tables, writing table with chair, and a small seating area. There are large glass doors that open out onto a large private terrace, furnished with cushioned sun loungers, and a wooden table with two chairs. This terrace leads down to a private sundeck, and where you can go for a swim in the beautiful blue lagoon whenever you wish.

The spacious en-suite bathroom is equipped with WC, bidet, bathtub, separate shower, and hair dryer. The views from the bathroom are amazing, and next to the bathtub there is a large glass window with shutters that open out to a magnificent view of the sea.

The Jacuzzi Water Villas are equally wonderful as the Water Villas above, but they are even more spacious, and have a luxurious partially open-air bathroom and feature an outdoor Jacuzzi for two.

Dining on veligandu island

Nestled under its own palm thatched roof is the Dhonveli restaurant. It is very spacious, and open on all sides, the floor is covered with the finest white sand, so you can dig your toes into the cool sand whilst you enjoy your meals! You will be served with outstanding cuisine, and you will be spoilt for choice. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style, so you can try everything and have as much as you wish. Dinner is also a buffet, but a la carte cuisine is available. There is always an excellent choice of entrees, soups, main courses and desserts. They also have themed nights in the restaurant, and the Maldivian Night gives you a unique opportunity to sample the local delights, whilst the waiters dress in traditional Maldivian costumes. They also have a seafood and pasta night, which features handmade genuine Italian style pasta. Once a week there is a buffet dinner held outside on the wooden deck outside the restaurant, which overlooks the lagoon.

The Haruge Bar & Coffee Shop is a wonderfully spacious bar with a high thatched roof and comfortable seating. You can enjoy your drinks inside the bar, with your feet in the sand, or outside on the spacious wooden deck on the beach. Coconut palms sway gently to the rhythm of the soft breeze as you sip your favourite cocktail. If you are feeling romantic you can walk out onto the sandbank and sip your drinks under the stars. The Haruge Bar also serve delicious snack throughout the day, which include sandwiches, cakes and pizzas are available through out the day.

The Coffee Shop snacks service is available only in the afternoons. Choose one of the many varieties of ice creams, offered here, to quench your thirst after a swim.

The Veligandu water sports centre offers many different activities including windsurfing and catamaran sailing, canoeing and hydro biking. Beach volleyball and badminton are some of the options available for a spot of an afternoon of fun! With mixed teams of guests and staff joining forces to provide an exciting afternoon for the players and spectators.
