Accommodation at the Palm Beach resort

All of the rooms are designed with a Maldivian touch; some rooms are tucked away in thick vegetation while others are scattered along the length of the island, but all offer you complete privacy.

Deluxe Bungalows at the Palm Beach resort
The Deluxe Bungalows are located on both sides of the island, and they stand just a few steps away from the beach, surrounded by thick vegetation and have wonderful view of the sea. To the front of the bungalow is a shaded tiled sun terrace with two luxury sun loungers, and a traditional Maldivian swing. Inside is a small seating area that leads into the bedroom area, with a television, minibar and tee/coffee making facilities. The room is cool and airy with white washed walls and a comfy bed dressed with deliciously cool cotton sheets. From the bed you can relax and enjoy the ocean view. The bathroom is partly open air with a bathtub and an open air shower nestled in its own private miniature landscaped garden. You may even find sumptuous tropical fruits growing in the garden, just waiting for you to pick them.

Villas at the Palm Beach resort
Located on the edge of the beach the Villas are split over two floors, with the bedroom situated on the upper floor with its own balcony overlooking the azure ocean. Furnished with every comfort these villas have a wonderful shaded sun terrace with two luxury sun loungers and a traditional Maldivian swing. Inside the villa is a spacious seating area with a mini-bar and satellite TV. The partly open air bathroom is very luxurious and spacious with a bathtub, Jacuzzi and outdoor shower, set in its own private miniature tropical garden. Upstairs is the bedroom, which is the ultimate room with a view. There is a large king size bed that has been strategically placed to give you a direct view of the ocean, and has a delightful balcony.

Dining at the Palm Beach resort

Palm Beach Resort offers you an excellent dining experience, and you will be spoilt for choice.

The Dandehelu Restaurant is located in the main complex, and is the main restaurant on Palm Beach. With a friendly and relaxed atmosphere you will enjoy a varied menu of Mediterranean, Chinese and Maldivian specialties. There is a refined atmosphere dressed with romantic candle light at the Ihi Ghe Restaurant, and here they serve spectacular seafood, and the menu is very comprehensive. The Coffee Shop is located in the main complex on the sunset side of the island, where they serve huge breakfast buffets as well as afternoon tea.

For romantic intimate dining a la carte dinning is organized on a jetty for one table only, with your own waiter.

The Pool Bar is located in the main complex on the lagoon side near the pool, where they serve a variety of cocktails and exotic juices. The Beach Bar is located on the south sand bank of the island, and this bar offers a choice of tasty salads for lunch, refreshments and wonderful cocktails.

Facilities at the Palm Beach resort

There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained at Palm Beach, and the snorkelling is amazing in the aquamarine lagoon. You can hire canoes, and have a go at windsurfing and catamaran sailing, and there is also tennis, squash and a well equipped gymnasium. Diving is definitely the star attraction, and the Macana diving school offers beginners’ as well as advanced diving courses. Beach soccer and beach volley are also popular pastimes at Palm Beach.

The Spa is where you can enjoy unique treatments while relaxing by the turquoise ocean. There are five different areas, each one offer’s traditional rejuvenating treatments of the East and exotic native rituals, combined with the relaxing sound and sight of the incredible Indian Ocean.
