All of the accommodation on Medhufushi is of a very high standard and constructed in traditional Maldivian design, with traditional thatched roofs and open air bathrooms. There are six different styles of accommodation to choose from that offer an authentic Maldivian experience. Comfort and convenience are not sacrificed as an extensive range of amenities are included; CD player, mini bar, satellite TV, air conditioning, and IDD telephone.

Medhufushi Island Beach Villas, Beach Villa Suites & Family Villas
Set back from the beach, just behind a line of greenery that offers a cool quiet setting, these are very elegant villas are just metres from the edge of the Indian Ocean. Constructed from timber and topped off by a delightfully traditional thatched roof, you will find a peaceful decked area at the front with two sun loungers, a Maldivian swing made for two, and a table and two chairs. The villa is a haven from the heat of the day, and the four poster king size bed is delightfully cool with its crisp cotton sheets. There is plenty of storage space, and with plenty of room to relax you will feel at home straight away. The bathroom is spacious and very well presented, with double sinks, and a shower that stands under its own miniature thatched pavilion, in its own private walled miniature garden.

The Beach Villa Suites are as equally appointed as the Beach Villas but they have an additional second bedroom with twin beds, and there is also a large seating area.

The Family Villas are as equally appointed as the Beach Villa Suites, they also have an additional second bedroom with twin beds, but there is an adjoining door between the two bedrooms. There is no large seating area in the Family Villas.

Medhufushi Island Water Villas & Water Villa Suites
You will be very impressed by the Water Villas with their stylish décor, spacious king sized bed, and elegant furniture with matching scatter cushions and bedspread. There is an LCD TV and entertainment centre with a beverage station and Espresso machine. And with plenty of storage space you will feel at home straight away. The bathroom is modern and elegant with frosted glass around the toilet. There is a slate clad shower enclosure, but the main feature is the bath itself, with its beautiful views across the blue lagoon. The sun deck is perfect for lazing the day away and there are two luxury sun beds, a table with two chairs and there is even a relaxing swing. Just off the sun deck are private steps that lead down into the lagoon.

Medhufushi Island Honeymoon Water Villas
There are just two lovely Honeymoon Water Villas on Medhufushi. You will wake up and fall asleep with the gentle sound of the Indian Ocean underneath you. These villas are very elegant and you will feel relaxed and delightfully secluded in your romantic hideaway. There is a king size four poster bed, dressed with cool crisp cotton sheets, and the room is wonderfully furnished. The luxury bathroom has a Jacuzzi made for two, and has the most amazing views. These villas do not have a jetty to connect them to the island, they can only be reached by rowing boat. Relax and enjoy!

Dining on Medhufushi island

The main restaurant is nicely furnished with simple elegant furniture, and has a very welcoming feel. Dishes are served buffet style, and the cuisine is excellent with an amazing variety to delight you. Savour mouth watering beef, lamb and fish dishes, and savour speciality dishes from the Maldives and South Asia. There is also a grill area where the Chef freshly cooks dishes to your preferred taste. There is also an a la carte menu available too.

The Al Fresco lagoon restaurant which should not be missed and there are four special menus to choose from. For more romantic meal moments you can arrange to eat ‘under the stars’ on the beach, or in the privacy of your own villa.

Facilities on medhufushi island

Medhufushi has plenty for you to see and do; there is an excellent water sports centre, and plenty of excursions to go on, and nightly entertainment at the bar. There is a lovely infinity pool with hammocks tied between the palm trees. The beach is amazing, and you can walk all the way around the Island at low tide. There is a well equipped gym, a DVD library for the odd rainy day, a library area at the back of the main bar, and internet facility too.

Spa on medhufushi island

A totally unique experience awaits you at the Spa, and it is situated at the end of its own jetty out in the azure lagoon, the walk to the spa is a relaxing experience in itself! It is wonderful to have a massaged with fine oils, whilst watching the surf break over the reef just in front of you – a purely unforgettable experience.
